Extended opening hours at Castel Sant’Angelo, with shows, concerts and opening of the Passetto di Borgo, the Historical Prisons, the Cagliostra and Stufetta of Clement VII from July 2 to September 6, 2015.
The event, now in its fifth edition, offers a full program of evening events including art, theater, music, culture and sport, enhancing every aspect of the two thousand year history of the monument.
For the duration of the event the Passetto di Borgo, the historical Prisons, the Stufetta of Clement VII (the renaissance bathroom of the Popes) and the Mole (the mill of the Castle) will be exceptionally open to the public.
In addition to tours there is a full calendar of special events that will feature the "Summer Nights at Castel Sant'Angelo" names of international importance for a variety of events ranging from music to theater, literature and sport.
For music artists will perform as Luis Bacalov, Fabrizio Bosso, Luciano Biondini, Paolo Fresu, Daniele di Bonaventura, Danilo Rea, Gabriele Mirabassi, Roberto Taufic, Javier Girotto, Gloria Campaner, Francesca Dego, Alessandro Carbonare, the Brass Quintet of Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Luca Pincini, Gilda Buttà, flutist Paul Taballione and the Rome Symphony Orchestra.
For the theater will perform artists like Giorgio Albertazzi together with the “Compagnia del Teatro Ghione” who will propose his classic "Memoirs of Hadrian".
