At Genzano di Roma every year, since more than two centuries, the Flower Festival is held in june: an immense floral carpet articulated in various frameworks, that extends for about 2000 square meters on the central Via Italo Belardi (formerly Via Livia).
For the realization of the paintings, drawn on the pavement, in addition to plant eccences, at least 350.000 flowers are needed; individual petals are used by "infioratori" (flowers artirsts) as well as the colors of a palette for painters: the yellow of the broom, the blue of torrena, the red of carnations, the green of boxwood and wild fennel.
A nice way to spend the weekend in the midst of flowers and colors !
